We understand architecture as a continuous, transformative process that goes beyond the mere structural shell. For us, architecture is always in dialog with its surroundings and the people who use it. We see change as an opportunity to rethink existing structures, functions and relationships. Through our involvement in the artistic and cultural landscape, we continuously question and sharpen our point of view and deepen our understanding of the region.\n\nWe rely on close collaboration with our clients. This is the only way we can truly understand how a space should develop over time and what requirements it must meet both now and in the future.\n\nWhether new construction, conversion of existing structures or the creation of flexible spaces for new uses - we develop concepts that are tailored to the specific needs and cultural context. Our focus is always on functionality and sustainability, so that the architecture remains relevant and vibrant not only today, but also tomorrow.\nFor us, transformation is not only visible on the outside, but must be deeply anchored in the way we think and design spaces. This creates buildings and spaces that not only tell their story, but also offer the potential for the future.\n**Do you have an idea or a project that you would like to realize?** We are curious to find out more and look forward to working with you to create something unique. Dabei ist der Kerngedanke, dass ein kleiner, präziser Eingriff eine weitreichende Wirkung haben und als Katalysator für grössere Prozesse verstanden werden kann.\nLinks zum Projekt:\nhttps://www.baudokumentation.ch/projekt/der-kanal-der-garten-und-die-stadt-nutzungstrategien-zum-umgang-mit-lokalen-raumressourcen-in-kyoto/943594?q=florian%20gugger&pos=1\nhttps://www.espazium.ch/de/aktuelles/sia-masterpreis-architektur-2022-anerkennungen\n","Spring 2022\n\nThe thesis deals with the future role of water spaces in the city of Kyoto and is a contribution to the research project Culture of Water of the HSLU and the KIT.\nWater was and is an important topic for the city. The basin in which Kyoto lies collects water from the surrounding hills. Canals were built early on for economic and cultural purposes. These lost much of their function during the period of industrialization and due to the latent danger of flooding. However, in times of major climatic challenges, both natural and artificial bodies of water are receiving increased attention in urban spaces. Against this new background, it is necessary to think about the future functions of water in urban areas.\nVarious thematic approaches will be used to develop an understanding of the role of water in the city. Mapping, collages and analysis plans will be used to examine the city in relation to water on a landscape, climatic and social level. The design process will thus be continuously reviewed and supplemented from various perspectives in order to gain as complex an understanding as possible of the existing situation at different scales. The intention is to develop a future approach to the waters that is based on many layers and can therefore better respond to the local conditions.\nThe area under investigation is a section of the Nishitakase River. The analysis of the site has shown that open spaces are mostly occupied by parking lots and form a spatial resource with a high potential for conversion. The typologies developed in this project will free up these occupied spaces and make them available for upgrading the waterways. The core idea is that a small, precise intervention can have a far-reaching effect and be understood as a catalyst for larger processes.\nLinks to the project:\nhttps://www.baudokumentation.ch/projekt/der-kanal-der-garten-und-die-stadt-nutzungstrategien-zum-umgang-mit-lokalen-raumressourcen-in-kyoto/943594?q=florian%20gugger&pos=1\nhttps://www.espazium.ch/de/aktuelles/sia-masterpreis-architektur-2022-anerkennungen","kleio:record_9c769503-db70-4a57-b5a3-e5b3aaef5d67",{"@createdAt":277,"@id":275,"@type":249,"@updatedAt":277,"dc:isPartOf":277,"dc:provenance":278,"kleio:assets_admin":279,"kleio:assets_archiv":280,"kleio:assets_extra1":281,"kleio:assets_extra2":282,"kleio:assets_extra3":283,"kleio:assets_featured":284,"kleio:assets_press":286,"kleio:assets_process":287,"kleio:connected_space":277,"kleio:connected_user":277,"kleio:cover_asset":285,"kleio:default":6,"kleio:dimension":277,"kleio:has_field":288,"kleio:insurance_value":277,"kleio:location":277,"kleio:main_date":289,"kleio:participant":290,"kleio:record_owner":63,"kleio:record_value":277,"kleio:user_record_id":291,"kleioapi:activity_tag_count":67,"kleioapi:buyer_of":292,"kleioapi:category_tags_count":67,"kleioapi:connected_user_default_space":277,"kleioapi:contributed_to":293,"kleioapi:country_tags_count":67,"kleioapi:creator_count":67,"kleioapi:creator_of_count":67,"kleioapi:function_tags_count":67,"kleioapi:identifying_tags_count":67,"kleioapi:in_set":294,"kleioapi:is_actor":6,"kleioapi:keywords_count":67,"kleioapi:language_tags_count":67,"kleioapi:location_tags_count":67,"kleioapi:material_tags_count":67,"kleioapi:origin_tags_count":67,"kleioapi:owner_default_space":25,"kleioapi:relation_count":220,"kleioapi:status_tags_count":67,"kleioapi:style_tags_count":67,"kleioapi:technique_tags_count":67,"kleioapi:type_tags_count":67,"rdfs:label":295,"rdfs:label__de":295,"rdfs:label__en":295,"schema:description":296,"schema:description__de":296,"schema:description__en":297,"threems:relatesTo":249},null,[],[],[],[],[],[],[285],"kleio:asset_d116572c-17aa-4e44-a08d-ae002fddfb03",[],[],[51,56,46,52,49,57,58,55,32,31],"kleio:date_857efe5c-53f3-4651-a9f5-0b4513d02b03",[],16,[],[],[38,41],"„O wie Wahrnehmung“","Dearrival war eine Gruppenausstellung von jungen Menschen mit unterschiedlichen Hintergründen und Beziehungen zur Kunst.
